The Speyside Trust owns and operates the Badaguish Centre, which is an outdoor centre near Aviemore that offers equal opportunity access to the outdoors for disadvantaged people. They offer a wide range of onsite activities including cycling, high ropes course, rock scrambling, canoeing, wayfinding and many others. Approximately 12,500 people benefit from their activities each year, including people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, carers and families of all ages. In 2013 Speyside Trust were preparing to take on a substantial capital project. They planned to clear a large section of their land and begin the construction of a 1600m bike track. We successfully secured the capital funding required to complete the project, along with additional funding to purchase a range of modified bikes for their disabled users. The bike track has now been completed and people of all ages and abilities are travelling from all over the UK to try out their new track.
